Session 2: Stewardship

Biblical stewardship teaches that while our money belongs to God, He has entrusted it to us to manage wisely. Adam Tarnow and John Elmore, teaching pastor at Watermark Community Church, share insights on how to honor God with our finances and remain faithful with what He has provided. When we embrace this perspective, every financial decision becomes an opportunity to reflect His wisdom and purpose.

Session 3: Spending Plan

Managing finances wisely starts with a

spending plan. A spending plan allows us to

track what God has entrusted to us and ensure every dollar is used purposefully.

Without it, financial control is difficult to achieve. Yet, for many, creating one can feel overwhelming.

What fears or concerns do you have about starting a spending plan?

Session 4: Generosity

Generosity is one of the clearest signs that someone understands

biblical stewardship. Instead of being a burden, John Elmore reveals that generosity reflects God’s heart and is meant to bring joy, not guilt or fear. Both Adam and John describe generosity in a way that might feel unusual—they call itfun and joy-giving. But many of us struggle with generosity, often associating it with obligation or scarcity. How do you feel about generosity? Do you see it as a source of joy, or does it feel like a challenge?

Session 5: Emergency Fund and Debt

Managing debt and securing an emergency fund are key steps in biblical stewardship. Today, TA will guide us through strategies to repay debt and establish a financial safety net so we can faithfully manage God’s resources. Debt is often a symptom of deeper issues—whether it’s envy, insecurity, entitlement, or lack of discipline. Understanding why we are in debt is the first step to financial freedom.
